Storytelling
If a story is going to be told it ought to be worth telling. This workshop focuses on how to tell a story and keep it alive for an audience using a variety of linguistic and physical techniques.
Participants learn:
- Language – identifying and alternating between language of description and language of action
- Rhythms – using vocal rhythms
- Characters – techniques for clearly representing and distinguishing between the different characters in a story using voice, movement and physical gestures
- Audience contact – developing an intimate raport with the listeners
